I used to keep track of my finances with a three ring binder notebook and several large envelopes for receipts. When I started dating the girl who became my wife, she told me that I really had to join the modern age of technology. She told me that there were programs out there that would make it much easier for me to keep track of everything, and she even suggested that I try Quickbooks because it was the best of the best in her eyes. She told me that there is even a phone number for Quickbooks customer support that I could call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so I was never totally alone with it.
I figured she was probably right, so I had her purchase the program that she thought was best. I had no doubts that she was correct with this, but I was still really surprised at just how easy everything was for me once she showed me how to use it. The really nice thing about Quickbooks is that it is so user friendly that it walks me through everything that I need to know.
I was a bit apprehensive about using it at first, but that disappeared pretty quickly once I started using it. There are so many video tutorials for any aspect of it, and there is also the telephone number for customer support. It was easy to get everything set up, and then even easier to use all of the different features of Quickbooks. Everything is backed up on a regular basis, so there is no worry that I am going to end up losing all of my records either. My wife likes to tease me that this is one of the reasons why I married her, but there are a million others as well!
